Meet yet another photographer: Robert Polidori, a Canadian, who stumbled into this career, finding out that he is indeed a master of noticing and seeing stories in the shading and colouring of something given. He says about his own images: “Pointing my camera on something is like asking a question. And the image developing is like an answer. It took me a while to notice, that the longer one looks at a picture one can see more and more details in it which one overlooked at first glance. This gain is like an accrued knowledge-dividend of the photograph.” Looking at his images is a gain in itself, I think. Presently, some of his work about Chernobyl and Pripyat can be seen in Berlin at Galerie Camerawork in Kantstraße.
